My cup overflows….
What a great day! I am thankful for:
- Coffee with a friend. “Friend” is not a word to take lightly in the age of Facebook and Twitter. But a friend is someone with whom you can share honest feedback and bits of your personal truth. Friends are a blessing and I’m grateful for the time today.
- Lunch with a friend. Yep – filling my bucket right on up with the goodness of girl talk. 🙂
- Time in downtown. Tonight was the “Night of Lights” and there were thousands of people enjoying the festivities (and unseasonably warm weather). We weren’t there to take in the lights (we have a different tradition) but rather to enjoy some pre-holiday shopping at HollyPop. SO much fun! I get such joy from hearing my daughter say, “This is just what I need. I love being downtown.” That’s my girl.
- Spontaneous dinner; spontaneous treat. We had the pleasure of running into sweet friends while out at dinner. They were so sweet, they picked up our check! I’m a big fan of giving random acts of kindness (stay tuned for a blog post about this very thing), but what a treat to receive. Even better was explaining to our daughter what happened and how nice that feels to receive a gift. Especially when the message of giving is one we’re focusing on right now.
Entering Thanksgiving recognizing all the blessings….
