Privilege doesn’t seem to be adequate to describe the opportunity I had today. Today, the ribbon was cut on the new Ronald McDonald House inside Parkview Regional Medical Center. Today,
they we will serve the first families in the new house.
Today, lives will forever be impacted by the compassion they receive by the staff and volunteers of the Ronald McDonald House. Parents will receive the comfort, rest and refuge they need on a journey they likely didn’t choose to be on. And they will receive this gift at no charge to them because of donors all over our community who contributed to make the new house possible.
Compassion = sincere assistance in times of crisis
As a board member for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana, I was privileged to be a part of today. Yet I recognize my teeny-tiny role in what is the greater good that will be done through this home-away-from-home. I am so grateful to know today is only the beginning of the love and hope that will be shared.
