I can’t help it. When I read (or browse) magazines, I’m checking out the ads almost more than the articles. It’s rare that I’ll think “job well done” as I turn the pages. So many ads seem paint-by-number. Perhaps it’s my line of work and my passion for non-profits, but these are a few magazine print ads I’ve noticed recently and appreciated them for multiple reasons including design and topics.

What are your thoughts on the state of print advertising? Have you spotted a favorite ad recently?
